CNLV Pool Rules

  1. In case of an emergency, dial 911 and the aquatic facility address is posted and visible to consumers.
  2. Operating hours of the aquatic facility and unauthorized use of the aquatic facility outside of these hours is prohibited.
  3. No children under the age of 8 are not permitted in the facility without a person 14 years or older or determined by the pool management. Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied in the water by an adult.
  4. No animals in the aquatic venue and no animals on the deck, except service animals.
  5. Do not swim if you are ill with diarrhea or have had diarrhea within the past two weeks, and do not swim if you have open wounds.
  6. Swimmers must wear proper swim attire.No cotton shirts or shorts and no jeans or cutoffs.
  7. Obey instructions of pool staff at all times.
  8. No running or horseplay allowed.
  9. Do not swallow or spit water
  10. Shower before entering the pool.
  11. No inflatable devices or outside toys allowed in the pool. (Balls, Noodles, etc)Lifejackets must be coast guard approved.
  12. No smoking or consumption of alcoholic beverages allowed.
  13. Food and drink allowed in designated areas only, no glass containers.
  14. Weak or non-swimmers will not be allowed to swim in any deep water, go off diving boards or use the slide.
  15. No diving from the starting blocks unless under direct supervision of a qualified coach. No diving in shallow areas at anytime.
  16. Prolonged breath holding or hypoxic training is not allowed.
  17. Young children must wear an approved swim diaper, diaper changing on the deck is prohibited.
  18. Must wear appropriate swim attire, no cotton.
  19. Intentional hyperventilation or extended breath holding activities are dangerous and prohibited.
  20. The City of North Las Vegas is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  21. There will be pool breaks during recreational swim hours.
  22. Qualified operator information to include company/operator name

CNLV Pool Slide Rules

  1. Maximum operational load: 1 person, 300 lbs. (136kg).
  2. Children under 48 inches (1.22m) tall are not permitted on this ride.
  3. Eyeglasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps.
  4. Swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation are not permitted.
  5. Only one rider to enter the flume at a time.Single riders only!
  6. Never form chains.
  7. Slide must be ridden feet first lying on your back or in a sitting position (sit up to go slower, lie down to go faster).
  8. Riders must wait for the attendants start signal before starting the ride.
  9. Keep arms and hands inside the flume at all times.
  10. Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide.
  11. At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by splash pool attendant and exit quickly.
  12. CAUTION: For safety reasons, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not ride this slide.

CNLV Diving Board Rules

1. One bounce only.
2. Dive or jump straight off the board.
3. One person on the ladder and/or board at any time.
4. Wait until the diver is off the board before mounting the ladder.
5. Wait until the diver reaches the side or pool edge before diving or jumping.
6. Swim to the closest ladder.
7. No back dives, back flips, or front flips at any time.
8. New dives and jumps may only be practiced under the close supervision of a qualified instructor or coach.
9. When diving boards are closed, they will be cautioned off.
10. Patrons wearing life jackets are not permitted to go off the boards.
11. The lifeguard reserves the right to ask any patron to do a swim test if they feel uncomfortable with a swimmer’s ability to swim in deep water.  The swim test consists of one length (25 yards) of freestyle.  If a patron cannot successfully complete the swim test, they will not be allowed to swim in the deep end or go off the diving boards.
