Regular meetings of the Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture Advisory Board (PARCAB) are held on the second Tuesday of the month (excluding July and Dec) at 5 p.m. in the North Las Vegas City Hall Council Chambers.
The PARCAB Advisory Board serves as an advisory body to the City Council to provide public opinion on the various upcoming special improvement projects and daily conditions of the numerous parks and recreation facilities owned and operated by the City.
Among the duties of members:
- Discuss information relevant to future special improvement projects within the parks and rec department
- Review major changes to the parks and rec daily dept's operational procedures
- Gather information from residents and customers in the City of North Las Vegas service area regarding perceived needs and views of existing parks and rec conditions
- Promote citizen usage of the various parks and recreation facilities
- Amplify City events and efforts related to the ongoing operations and future projects within the parks and recreation domain
Composition
- Seven members
- Five members must be residents of the City of North Las Vegas and one representative from each Ward
- Two members may be "At Large" representatives nominated by any City Council Member
