The City of North Las Vegas offers many convenient, easy ways to pay your utility bill. Payment options marked with an asterisk (*) offer same-day payment posting to the account.

Direct Debit

Utility bills can be automatically debited from your bank account every month through Direct Debit. Never worry again about a late payment! Funds are withdrawn from a designated checking or savings account within 14 days of billing.

To sign up for Direct Debit, visit the Utilities Department in person with a blank, voided check, or register online here.  

Online Bank Payments

Most banks, credit unions and bill-pay services offer an electronic payment service that allows customers to make one-time or recurring bill payments through a website or app. This services is often free with a bank account.

Check with your bank or financial institution to determine the options available.

By Mail

Your monthly utility bill includes a payment envelope and remittance slip. Follow the instructions and mail your payment in the payment envelope with the payment remit slip. Please do not staple or fold the remit slip.

Drop Box

Customers can quickly drop off utility bill payments in a convenient drop box located at North Las Vegas City Hall. The drop box is in the customer parking lot. 

Online Payments

Pay your utility bill online on the City's website for a quick, convenient transaction. A valid Visa, Discover, Mastercard or American Express is required.

User-friendly payment kiosks are available at City Hall and at Alexander Library. The kiosks accept cash, credit cards, checks, chip readers, tap pay and Apple Pay.

The City Hall lobby kiosk is open 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday. The other kiosks are accessible 24/7/365.

PayNearMe

The City partners with PayNearMe to enable customers to pay their utility bills with cash at any 7-Eleven, Family Dollar or ACE Cash Express location. There is no fee for using PayNearMe, and payment is made the same day. All that is required is a PayNearMe barcode.

There are two ways to get a PayNearMe barcode:

  1. Text NLV to 88288. A barcode will be texted back to you. 
  2. If your bill has the PayNearMe barcode (shown below) on the front, you can take the bill directly to a 7-Eleven or other location and hand it to the cashier with your cash payment.

By Phone

Customers can pay their utility bill by calling Customer Service at (702) 633-2697. Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards are accepted.  

Payment Arrangements

Request a payment arrangement on your utility bill. If you meet the requirements, collection activity on your account will stop for the duration of the arrangement.

Pay as much or as often as you like. The balance just needs to be paid in full on or before the payment arrangement due date.

Deposits and Refunds

For residential service, a minimum $150 deposit is required. The deposit is due when service is requested. Deposits may be waived with an Active Military Deposit Waiver or a letter of credit from a financial institution.

For commercial service, the deposit is based on the rounded average of the last three bills at the service address. Commercial deposits may be waived with a surety bond or a letter of credit from a financial institution.

Upon closing your account, the deposit will be applied automatically to the final bill. If the deposit is more than the final balance, a refund check for the difference will be mailed within 7-10 business days.
