Roadway Operations is responsible for maintaining all City Roadway Rights of Way as well as all Regional Flood Control Facilities in which the City has maintenance responsibility. Maintaining the 1800 + lane miles of City roadways includes the following activities:
- Street sweeping
- Street Sweeping Map
- Neighborhood Beautification Program Support
- Trash & debris removal
- Vegetation abatement
- Pothole Patching
- Utilities permanent patching services
- Asphalt paving & maintenance
- Roadway safety improvement projects
- Pavement crack sealing
- Sidewalk installation, maintenance & repair
- ADA ramp installation, maintenance & repair
- Curb & gutter installation, maintenance & repair
- Un-paved shoulder maintenance
- Drainage system installation, maintenance & repair
- 24/7 Emergency Response for roadway hazards
Maintaining the Regional Flood Control Facilities includes 30+ miles of lined & unlined flood control channels and 8 flood detention basins. These maintenance activities include the following:
- Trash & debris removal
- Vegetation abatement
- Graffiti Abatement
- Through Neighborhood Services
- Erosion repairs
- Reshaping of un-lined flood channels
- Fence maintenance & repair
- Bridge maintenance & repair
- Culvert maintenance & repair
