2009 Cadet Explorer Group

The North Las Vegas Police Explorer Program is a youth organization sponsored by
the North Las Vegas Police Department and is designed to assist young people in
preparing for their future.

Along with instructing them in the understanding of all areas involved in a law enforcement profession, it is also our goal to build on the Explorers themselves. We do this by building
on their self-esteem, maturity, discipline, and responsibility.

The Explorer Program is a year round program and our meetings are each Wednesday
night from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The location of the meeting changes from week to
week but are generally held at the North Las Vegas Police Department, South Area Command, Training Room, 1301 East Lake Mead Blvd. (corner of Lake Mead Blvd.
and Bruce) in North Las Vegas, Nevada 89030.

New candidates must first attend an orientation meeting, which is generally held on the first Wednesday of every month. This orientation meeting is held at the the North Las Vegas Police Department, South Area Command, Training Room, 1301 East Lake Mead Blvd.
(corner of Lake Mead Blvd. and Bruce) in North Las Vegas, Nevada 89030. Please contact Explorer Advisor to confirm the date and time of the orientation meeting.  Candidates under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardian.
