Explorer Program Home
The North Las Vegas Police Explorer Program is a youth organization sponsored by
the North Las Vegas Police Department and is designed to assist young people in
preparing for their future.
Along with instructing them in the understanding of all areas involved in a law enforcement profession, it is also our goal to build on the Explorers themselves. We do this by building
on their self-esteem, maturity, discipline, and responsibility.
The Explorer Program is a year round program and our meetings are each Wednesday
evening from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The location of the weekly meeting may change occasionally, but are generally held at the North Las Vegas Justice Center located at 2332 Las Vegas Boulevard North (at the corner of Civic Center and LVBN) in North Las Vegas, Nevada 89030.
New candidates must first attend an orientation meeting, which is generally held on the first
Wednesday of every month. This orientation meeting is held at the North Las Vegas Justice Center located at 2332 Las Vegas Boulevard North (at the corner of Civic Center and LVBN) in North Las Vegas, Nevada 89030. Please contact NLVPD Explorer Advisor Officer Reuben Rocker prior to attending the orientation meeting for specific instructions and to confirm the date and time of the orientation meeting. Candidates under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. For more information please refer to the Frequently Asked Question link listed below.
